Winter Night Shelter Training

Before the Winter Night Shelter season starts this timely training is aimed at raising the confidence and competence of our parishes as they encounter increasingly complex needs.

Partnering with Housing Justice and The Passage we’ll be covering the following areas:

  • Supporting Refugees and Migrants
  • Winter Night Shelters and Trafficking
  • What Benefits can our guests access?
  • Mental Health
  • Drugs and Alcohol

Each topic will be covered in the usual Capital Mass Ted Talk format (5-7min input) and then guests will participate in discussion groups on the theme areas which interests them the most.

Refreshments will be available through out the evening.

Please do attend as a group, this is open to all whether team leaders or occasional volunteers.
