Thank you Bishop Adrian

Thank you Bishop Adrian

23 July 2018 by Andy Burns

It is with great sadness that we share the news that +Adrian Newman will be stepping down as Chair of Capital Mass and as The Bishop of Stepney on health grounds.

+Adrian has been an incredibly supportive Chair, helping us navigate our foundational years combining great vision and drive for the work alongside pastoral care for the team.

Through Bishop Adrian’s leadership, Capital Mass has grown into the organisation we are today. A charity with a Diocesan Wide brief that recognises the local church is an agent of transformation in its community.

As a team and individually, we are grateful for his leadership and want to assure him of our prayers as he explores all that God has for him in the future.

_”All the success and impact that Capital Mass has made, comes down to the leadership and wise stewardship provided by +Adrian. Without +Adrian’s support and presence the team wouldn’t have had the stability needed to boldly take the work forward, and for that we are truly grateful.

On a personal note, I will miss our regular catch ups, a combination of dreaming big dreams for London as well as putting the world to rights. +Adrian has the ability to hold multiple pushes and pulls on his time whilst being fully present when you are with him which is a real gift and blessing.

I know that over the past 4 years I’ve personally grown through reflecting his leadership”_
