The Diocese of London is richly blessed by dedicated community focused chaplains. This is an opportunity to connect and to learn together with other like-minded chaplains across the capital.
Community Chaplain: It’s the activity of the individual in their community, not necessarily their job title. An individual who through their role is intentionally offering personal and emotional support along with practical help into a community which is in addition to the normal life of their church.
Learning Community: a chance to gather around a theme which unites us, to hear from each other, share our highs and lows; to learn from each other and to spur each other on.
So this is a chance for Community Chaplains in London to gather together, encourage each other and to collectively sharpen our practice
Capital Mass has had the joy of welcoming to the team Alison Tsang as our Just Finance London Development Worker. Alison’s role is to help local churches to engage faithfully and effectively with issues of money, debt and credit in their communities.
As Community Chaplains we spend time with people enslaved in debt, At this Learning Community, Alison will spend time with us exploring ways that we can journey with people out of their debt as well as new ways around positive money management.
